If you scanned the headlines of the International Herald Tribune's Business Section on Friday, November 16, 2012 like I did while attending Medica. It just might make you feel a little better about the USA. Some of the headlines that day were:
- Euro Zone Economy Sinks into Recession
- Spain Gives Most Vulnerable 2-year Reprieve from Evictions
- U.K. Efforts to Aid Housing Falter
- Foreclosure Rates Begin to Slow in U.S. (I don't know if they did that to rub it in or what)
- BP Agrees to Pay $4.5 Billion Penalty for Spill
All of these headlines are taken exactly from the paper, so if you want to Google any of them you should be able to. None the less, it kind of makes you feel better about the good old USA...doesn't it?
