Homeowners have been changing out the traditional bulbs in their interior and exterior lighting fixtures from halogen bulbs, to florescent bulbs, and now LED bulbs. The reason is simply because of the overall cost savings and minimized need for replacement bulbs. It just makes sense that businesses, schools and medical centers would also begin jumping on the savings bandwagon by replacing those old incandescent & halogen light bulbs. The Importance of a Smoke Evacuator in the Operating Room

The issues caused by surgical smoke in the operating room have recently become more commonly known.  During electrosurgery and laser use, a smoke that contains bacteria, viruses, mutagens, and other pollutants is produced.  This off-gas or surgical smoke can also potentially combine with the alcohol preps and other flammable gasses within the operating room to form harmful fumes.  It is thus important to remove this surgical smoke in order to maintain a safe work environment in the operating room.
