The good folks at MDSI have a bunch of sales tools that we use at Bovie Medical Corporation. The first one we went with a bunch of years ago was Repertoire Magazine, and it is still the best way to get information on products and promotions to the medical distribution arena. Their other magazine on the hospital side of things is The Journal of Healthcare Contracting, and they have online training with EOL and the daily news source with the Dail-eNews.
My absolute favorite resource is a fairly recent addition to the family of products, and they've got more resources, but you get the idea, is RepConnect. An absolutely great resource for the distributor rep, which is free to them by the way! For subscribers like Bovie, RepConnect is a place where the rep can reach out for not only all of our literature, but many sales tools, our rep list by territory and other useful information. What I really like about it is with an I-Pad, or a smart phone, the rep can not only pull up any literature he needs on one of our products, but without calling us or going out to his car on the off chance he has the right piece of literature, he can e-mail our literature directly to the doctor or nurse without wasting any time. No extra steps, no delays, no going to the company's web site, just a simple touch of a button. So since you aren't wasting time, it gives you more time to find other opportunities to help the practice. Which should result in more sales.
If you are a distributor representative and you aren't using Rep Connect yet, I've only got one question for you. WHY? Do yourself a favor and sign up today!
